Bananas are one of the best fruits to eat for weight loss. Bananas are full of nutrients for increased energy and vitality and are low in calories and fat. They are also high in fibre so they keep us feeling full longer.
Ingredients
- 1 cup self raising flour.
- Pinch of bicarbonate soda.
- 1 egg.
- 1 tablespoon golden syrup.
- 3/4 cup reduced fat milk.
- 1 banana, sliced.
- 1/4 cup golden syrup, extra.
Method
- Sift flour and bicarbonate soda into bowl. Mix together egg, milk and golden syrup, stir well to combine. Add to flour mixture and whisk well until smooth.
- Heat non stick fry pan over low heat. Grease pan with cooking spray, Drop tablespoonfuls of mixture into fry pan and cook until bubbles rise to the surface. Flip and cook until golden brown. Set Aside.
- Heat small pan over low heat, add extra golden syrup and heat until melted. Add banana to syrup and cook until caramelized (brown in color).
- Serve spooned over pikelets.
